Cuda Dive Team

The Commonwealth Swim & Dive team is one of the finest and most successful swim & dive programs in Northern Virginia. We offer a safe and fun program of controlled competitive progression from novice through senior-level swimming & diving. Our swimmers & divers learn in an atmosphere that reinforces high self-esteem, self-motivation, physical fitness and respect for others.

Our Dive Team is in the Northern Virginia Swim League's Diving Division 7. 

 
  • Upcoming Dive Week & Tuesday Meet Information Monday – Regular practice.  Also, our Cuda swim has a home meet against Lakeview tonight.  Come out and cheer our swim friends on.  Meet starts at 6:00.  Tuesday –  Regular morning practice and then Away at Great Falls Pool. Tuesday - Away meet @ Great Falls. Regular morning practice.  We will make sure everyone has a completed meet sheet.  If your diver does not want to participate or will not be attending please let me know via email.  All divers, participating or not, are encouraged to come watch and hangout with their teammates.  We will meet in the upper parking lot at 4:00 and caravan over to the pool.  If anyone needs a ride I can accommodate four.  If you re able ...

  • Cuda Dive for the Week of 7/4 Hi Dive Families, Here is a summary for the upcoming week. Monday - No practice. Happy Fourth of July!! Tuesday - Regular morning practice and then Cuda bowling at Bowl America at 11:00.  Home meet practice at 4:00. Tuesday - First Home dive meet against Springboard Pool.    Regular morning practice.  We will make sure everyone has a completed a meet sheet.  If your diver does not want to participate in the meet, please let me know.  All divers, participating or not, are encouraged to come watch and hangout with their teammates.  Pool set up for meet begins at 4:15.  All hands are welcome and encouraged.  Families are encouraged to stick around to help clean up after the meet as well ...

  • Cuda Dive for the Week  Hi Dive Families, Here is a summary for the week. Monday - regular practice.  We will be preparing for our first meet by confirming that the divers have all of their qualifying dives.  Meet sheets will be prepared for each diver. Tuesday - First dive meet at Dominion Hills.        We will meet in the upper parking lot at 4:00 and caravan over to the pool.  If anyone needs a ride, I can accommodate four.  If you are available to drive, let us know.     Commonwealth get the boards from 5:00 - 6:00.   • Cuda Dive Week in Review and Parent Meeting on 6/9 Hi Dive Families,  We had a terrific first week last week with great turnout.  At this time, we have almost 30 divers with more then half 10 and under.  Here is the breakdown to date: Freshman Girls 11,  Freshman Boys 7,  Junior Girls 6,  Junior Boys 0 (RECRUIT!!),  Intermediate Girls 0 (RECRUIT!!!), Intermediate Boys 2, Senior Girls 2, Senior Boys 1  John and Sarah have been busy getting your kids ready for the season.  They are focusing on learning the hurdle, jumps and front and back dives into the water.  So far all of our kids have had a great attitude and have been willing to try whatever the Coaches throw at them!.  They are a very motivated and a ...

  • Opportunities hi Dive Parents....   If you are thinking on what you can do to help the dive team this year, please consider becoming a dive judge .   No experience is necessary - even if you diver is new to the sport   The only preliminary qualification is a desire to help the CUDA team and our divers.   Please let me know if you are interested - even if you just want to talk about whether it would be kind of cool to be a judge.  It is not as hard as you think and you do not need to commit at this time or even commit to all the meets.  Even one or two meets would be great.   We rely on parent judges ...
