Sun Protection and Your Child

The sun is fun especially if you are careful to use sunscreen.  Here are a few guidelines from WebMD Site on Sun Protection for Kids

  1. Pick a child-friendly sunscreen that is water resistant.
  2. Slather it on between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM - no exceptions!
  3. Apply at least every 2 hours (read the label)
  4. Use at least SPF 30 that covers UVA and UVB
  5. Use sunscreen sticks on your child's face
  6. Wear a hat and cover up that skin for extra protection.
